FREE FORM

Webster's definition of free form is a Linguistic form which occurs sometimes or always by itself, not having the limitation of a bound form (any shape) depicting liveliness and imagination.

2.FINISHED
Judged on attention to detail in cleaning and smoothing of appropriate surfaces. Finishes include driftwood wax & tongue oil or similar product. Following the above definition of Free Form.

3. NATURAL
Following the above definition of Free Form and judged on its natural beauty, shape and form with NO FINISH used.

WOOD CARVINGS ON DRIFTWOOD

4. FINISHED
Original carving on driftwood. Using a natural type of finish such as driftwood wax, or tongue oil (no plastic type finish). Judged on imagination, skill in achieving carved representation and attention to detail.

5. NATURAL
Original carving on driftwood. Using NO FINISH. Judged same as above.
Miniature. The definition of miniature is NOT TO EXCEED 8" IN ANY DIRECTION.

MINIATURE
The definition of miniature is not to exceed 8" in any direction.

6. FINISHED
Size and interesting art form are the only criteria and the finish will be driftwood wax or tongue oil or similar product.

7. NATURAL
Same definition as above and using NO FINISH

FLORAL WITH FRESH PLANTS

8. Follow definition of a miniature.
This is a floral arrangement using driftwood and fresh plant materials.
 Judged on imagination and creativity of arrangement, balance and form as well as compatibility of materials.

9. Same as above, but using fresh cut flowers and driftwood in the arrangement.

  FLORAL WITH DRIED PLANT MATERIAL

10. Same as above but using dried plant materials in the

11. Beach combed items not defined in any other category
or division. Judged on unique character, form & balance.

GLASS FLOATS

12. Glass floats either with or without net. Displayed
individually or as a collection. Natural driftwood may be
used as accent. Judged on creativity of display. Please
limit collections to 10 or less. You also may display a card with details about the floats.

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM

13. Flotsam, is such parts of the wreckage of a ship and its
cargo as is found floating on the water or Jetsam which is goods thrown overboard to lighten a vessel in distress. Judging is based on how unusual an individual piece is or the creativity of a grouping.

ANIMAL FORM

14. Driftwood piece that most looks like an animal. May be
Finished or Natural or Miniature.

CHILDREN'S DIVISION 

15. Captain Hook's Crew 
Ages: 6-12
This is the child's choice. It is their interpretation of "GOOD STUFF" found on the beach that they would like to share with others.

Peter Pans & Tinkerbells 
Ages: 6 & under
Younger children have a unique definition of GOOD STUFF.

16.Flower Arrangements
Please refer to the judging criteria as described in the
Division on miniatures, Classification #8, #9 and #10. All displays must be LARGER than 8".
