Vine Separator

A vine separator, also called a shaker table, has two elecric motors. One is used to cause the table to move back and forth, the other is used to power the blower. The berries roll to the end of the table and drop into the conveyor belt which you can see on the right. From here, they are either put into large totes for juice and sauce, or they are sometimes put into small wooden boxes which are then sold as fresh fruit. Ocean Spray has been eliminating the use of the small wooden boxes.
