Dry Harvest
![]() |
The Furford Picker picks and prunes the cranberries at the same time. The vines that grow across the direction of pruning are cut by pruning knives. Those that do not grow across the path of the picker are groomed in one direction. The bogs are always picked in the same direction which is their direction of growth after grooming and being picked its first couple of years. The conveyor belt brings the berries and pruned vines up and into a burlap bag.
